About Fiery Service |
I was born and raised in the Rocky Mountains of Montana. I feel blessed to have started my own family in that magical mountainous landscape and even more blessed to be able to have moved with my husband and children to Australia.
In the early years, I was married, mothering, and often working in a job outside the home but I always found time to include community service. Serving others and serving my community was just part of my life, it was my nature. However, I was often trying to keep too many balls in the air and was just, barely, managing to squeeze it all in, often exhausted and resentful of all that was expected of me. It was through my sense of adventure and a pinch of good fortune that in the late 1980s we found ourselves living in Byron Bay, the most easterly point on the Australian mainland. At that time, we owned and operated a music store and my husband and I were also founding members of Bay FM Community Radio. Although I was initially involved in the administration of the station, I soon found myself on-air. Fast forward several years, my husband had died, I had sold the business and by then had met Serge Benhayon - which I've written about in a blog called "Can I Have that Guy's Phone Number?" One day while filling in for someone on radio who normally did a magazine style program, I saw the opportunity to interview Serge. I was thrilled to bring the work of Serge Benhayon to a wider audience. I went on to interview Serge many times in the following years. The number of people who connected to the Ageless Wisdom through those interviews has been my greatest service to humanity in this lifetime. You can find out more about me at Gayle Cue |
This interview is a little out of the ordinary because it is an interview WITH me rather than by me.
I was recently cleaning up computer files and came across this audio recording that I had forgotten all about. Sarah Flenley and I were working on a UniMed project a few years ago and we were talking about the need for more people with interviewing skills. Sarah expressed an interest in doing interviews so – I may have suggested she interview me for the practice. I can’t remember because it was November 2014, which is a lot of water under the bridge since then. When I re-listened to the interview last week, I thought that Sarah did a great job so I’ve asked her permission to share it with the Fiery Service listeners. I’ve been interviewed several times over the years but generally about some specific project or event I was involved in. This interview is about interviewing, which is something I love doing. The interview starts with Sarah asking me WHY I do volunteer community work. |
It was shortly after the first interview with Serge that I realised that what was most important about any community service I was doing was the quality in which I lived my life, which would be the quality that I would bring to anything I did. This is when I connected to the term 'Fiery Service' and when I really became a dedicated student of the Ageless Wisdom.
Prior to connecting to the Ageless Wisdom as a way of living, I was trying to understand it intellectually. I would attend events, I would discuss the knowledge with others during and after the events, I would ponder on things but I wasn't really living it. I was still hooked into the ways of the world, still wanting things to be 'comfortable' and yet, I was still very 'uncomfortable' inside myself because I could feel there was more than what I was getting. As my awareness grew, I started to make changes. I quit drinking alcohol and I made dietary changes such as eliminating caffeine, dairy, gluten and sugar. These changes made a huge impact on how I was feeling physically and emotionally. Eventually, it made it much easier to make further changes because I was so much clearer and much more connected to my divine essence than I had been previously. Gone were the exhaustion and resentment. I started serving with absolute joy in everything I did. I no longer live in 'parcels' of life eg work, family, community service. Now it is all one life. My livingness is in the quality of how I am in everything I do from making my bed to cooking someone dinner, doing an interview or hosting airbnb guests. I am part of humanity and I serve all equally. My capacity to love humanity increased proportionally to my capacity to love myself. This is a forever deepening process as we return to Love, our original source. |
About the Fiery Service LogoI've always been drawn to the number 8. Separate to just liking the number 8, I like that it is similar to the infinity symbol. I originally drew the design of this logo for a ring I was having made. I already had the gold and the diamonds (yes, I had 8 smaller diamonds!) and wanted the jeweller to make a ring that represented me.
So when I connected to my own Fiery Service, the design already existed in my ring, but I was able to see a message in the design that I hadn't seen before. The figure eight, or the infinity symbol, represents eternal life. The large diamond represents God. The other 8 smaller diamonds represent humanity, walking the return path to God. |
